Hello you gorgeous lot! Today I have some stunning inspiration for you all, in the shape of a boudoir shoot I created back at the beginning of the year, with a very lovely and talented team. This shoot gives inspiration to a bride getting ready for their wedding day, with stunning lingerie and an abundance of pretty props. Do take a peek...
For brides, spending the morning getting ready is almost as important as actually getting married! It is lovely to take your time over it, indulge in being pampered and make the most of it with your bridal party. I don't know a girl that wouldn't love this bridal lingerie from Ailsa Munro for their wedding day, it's so beautiful and delicate and it looked perfect on our bride.
As well as wedding styling, I love to have fun with styling anything pretty, and styling these beautiful pieces of jewellery from Afshan Shamas were a dream. I chose gold pieces, as I was using gold and brass throughout the design of this wedding shoot. They worked perfectly on the vintage dressing table that I hired from Anthology Vintage, who offer a range of props and furniture to hire for the styling of you wedding day.
A leisurely bridal morning is likely to involve some pondering, on the day ahead as well as the life ahead spent with your love of your life. A wedding day is so special, you deserve to look radiant and your best self, so here we chose a natural bridal makeup look for our English rose bride. Soft tumbling curls completed the look. Here is the bride captured at the stunning industrial windows of the loft wedding venue, which is AREA from JJ Media.
It was very important to me that the looks we created throughout the shoot were soft, natural, romantic and timeless. For me, creating a timeless look in all of styling is key. Here the bride would be able to look at her wedding day photos in twenty years and still love it just as much.
The bride just looks so serene here doesn't she? The bridal hair and makeup was created by clever Mari at Chase Makeup and Hair, and it worked just beautiful with the bridal lingerie.
Perhaps you will be making the most of your wedding morning, stringing it out and spending a lovely time with your family and bridesmaids. It would be lovely for the photographer to capture some of the wedding morning too, so don't forget to book this in with them, so they can make a stop at your house before going to the wedding venue. The wonderful photographer who shot this shoot was Helen Warner, who captured our day perfectly.
In all of your wedding styling, both bridal and venue, don't forget the little touches - such as the bridal shoes and delicate heirloom props to work within your design. The shoes here were by Emmy and they are pictured on my vintage tray along with linens by Silk & Purl.
Also remember those all important flowers - and get lots of pictures of them too! These beautiful blooms were created by Some Enchanted.
Will you be making the most of the whole of your wedding day, and also be making the morning special and memorable, with treats and pampering? I thoroughly recommend it and you should definitely treat yourself in something pretty to get ready in too!
I loved putting together this boudoir shoot, part of a whole styled wedding shoot that I put together - and you can see the other looks here.
I do love designing and styling, it's a great job! And if you would like to chat to me about how I can help you, you can drop me a line here. I'd love to hear from you.
