When you think about all of the components that you need to organise for your wedding, or more specifically the wedding styling, you can quite often forget the stationery and the importance of it. From wedding invitations, and all of the correspondence that come with them to create an invitation suite, to the on-the-day stationery, it's actually a really integral part to the whole aesthetic of your wedding styling that should not be an afterthought.
The invitations you send to your guests are, or should be, a first glimpse into the type of wedding that they will be attending. They should show a glimpse into the styling and personality of your wedding day, and therefore the style of the invitation suite should be continued within the stationery you are using on your wedding day. Ideally you will use the same stationer, who will capture your personalities, how you want your wedding to feel and look, and encapsulate all of that together into the entire stationery suite that you use before your wedding day and on the big day itself.
So today I am taking the on-the-day stationery and showing you the importance of it, and obviously providing you with some lovely examples of when it is done well, to assist in creating a seamless feel to your wedding styling from the very beginning to the very end.
Soft & Dreamy Pastel Wedding Stationery
I created this wedding styling inspiration knowing I wanted the whole look to be really dreamy, and full of soft and romantic details. The stationery was really important, and completed the whole look. Jacquie from Sugar & Spice used cotton rag throughout and combined with her calligraphy, created this beautiful on-the-day stationery suite that complimented the wedding styling details perfectly. On the menus Jacquie used a gorgeous blue, picking out the colour of the vintage plates, and then gold details were used on the wedding place name tags to compliment the gold details used on the table.
The wedding table plan is one of my favourites that I have created, and I used my vintage medicine bottles (which you can hire from me here) with tags created by Jacquie tied around, and pretty blooms were popped into each one by Petal HQ. This would be a real talking point for your guests, and the bottle and flower could be a keepsake. The overall look was captured by Maxeen Kim Photography. Elegant Vintage Woodland Wedding Calligraphy Stationery
I loved creating this luxurious and elegant vintage tablescape in the woods, incorporating lots of vintage lace and gold & brass elements to create drama and texture. The very clever Ipek from Mango Tree London created this beautiful suite, incorporating her beautiful calligraphy throughout.
We also created this lovely table plan, which was simply Ipek's stunning calligraphy that I placed on an old, weathered door. A lovely way for your guests to find their places. I love combining delicate details with old and weathered details, such as old doors or decor. This stunning photography was captured by Katie Rogers Photography at Longton Wood.
