An Elegant Autumnal Wedding - Part Two

Hello! Last time I shared with you part 1 of some inspiration for a beautifully elegant and romantic Autumnal wedding, so here I am sharing part 2. We are so lucky to have such beautiful seasons here in the UK. I love each of them and the Autumn brings the biggest changes to nature, which I love to use to inspire me in my wedding styling. Using gentle nods towards the season in your styling and flowers for your wedding is the way to do, and this way you will still keep your wedding day elegant, romantic and timeless.

When making gentle nods towards the season, think about adding richer colours such as reds with the softer colours, to keep the look soft and gentle. You may also want to add a little extra to your makeup too, such as the red lipstick we have added on our beautiful bride. The groom has a velvet bow tie, which is a perfect addition for the season.

I love to use seasonal flowers within all of my wedding design and styling, and using these is a clear way of marking the season. Using an abundance of flowers also allows for a richer, more decadent feel, and if you can add floral installations and flowers throughout your entire wedding venue, you will instantly add drama and detail.

It’s key to be consistent throughout with all of the details of your wedding design and styling. Here I used dusky pink as my base tone, bringing in touches of a rich red and softening it all with shades of cream. I’ve also been consistent with the metal that I’ve used here, choosing brass and gold details throughout, such as in the vases and cutlery.

A little tip for creating an elegant and romantic wedding day - really think about all of the details throughout the whole day and what your guests will see. If you can, pick soft, linen tablecloths and complimentary napkins, upgrade your tableware and choose a florist that is right for you and the style that you are hoping to achieve.

So to sum up - to create an elegant and romantic Autumnal wedding day, that remains timeless and gentle, apply gentle nods towards the season. Think about using textures such as velvet, add richness through nods of a deeper colour or a metal such as gold. Also remain consistent with your styling and the touches you apply.
