Read MoreHello you lovely lot! It's been quite a while since I did a blog on my favourite table place settings, so this week I am doing just that! Read MoreHappy Valentine's! Or happy day before or day/s after Valentine's, depending on when you are reading this! I'm not a fan of going out for dinner for this day of love. It is often over-priced and you're crammed into a table right next to another couple, so we usually stay in…
Read MoreIf you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I love flowers. I feature them heavily, love to have fresh flowers as much as possible and my favourite gift is a bouquet full of soft and pretty blooms. Now obviously this is pretty handy working in the wedding industry! Flowers are a big part of my wedding designs that I create for my brides and grooms…
Read MoreWhen you think about all of the components that you need to organise for your wedding, or more specifically the wedding styling, you can quite often forget the stationery and the importance of it. From wedding invitations, and all of the correspondence that come with them to create an invitation suite, to the on-the-day stationery, it's actually a really integral part to the whole aesthetic of your wedding styling that should not be an afterthought…
Read MoreHello my lovelies. This week I wanted to show you some inspiration. One of my favourite parts of the initial stages of working with brides & groom to be is creating moodboards for them. I love to gather inspiration to start the design process, and it's a great starting point to begin our vision for the styling of their wedding day…
Read MoreBack in October I took part in a styled wedding shoot amongst an abundance of beautiful flowers in a stunning rural setting in the Kent countryside. Jennifer Pinder is an incredible florist, specialising in using seasonal flowers and creates the most amazing wedding flowers and runs workshops for florists. When she asked me to come along to one of her workshops and help create a styled wedding shoot using the stunning floristry work that would be created, I jumped at the chance. Want to take a peek at what we created…?
Read MoreHappy new year, lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I wanted to write about my 2017, to show you all that went on for Vintage Amy last year, as it was my first year in business and rather a good one, if I do say so myself! So below is a round-up of some of the highlights of my year, from styled shoots to real weddings and beyond...
Read MoreFor years now I've always gone down the traditional route of red & gold Christmas decor and whilst I am a traditional girl at heart, I fancied something a little different this year. Not drastically different - you won't catch me going all modern - but I've cut the red out of the Christmas tree, and it is mainly full of gold baubles, apart from one new special one that gave me the inspiration for my table...
Read MoreHello lovelies, thanks for popping by. Last week you may have seen part 1 of the styled wedding shoot I designed and created back in the Summer that is in December's issue of Perfect Wedding magazine. This week is the vintage dressing table that I styled up as a wedding dessert dresser, along with my unique take on a table plan, using vintage medicine bottles.

Want to take a peek at more of the images? Here is the wedding table design I put together and next week will be the dessert dresser and table plan…
Read MoreI love vintage (obviously and phew, you say - it would be silly doing what I did if I didn't!) for many reasons - for its character, history, charm, stories behind the pieces, design details, and I just don't believe modern pieces are the same in quality and sophistication. But another reason I love vintage is that it means a lot of different things to different people...

I am a huge fan of exploring new & pretty places in the UK, whether it's a beautiful National Trust or stately home near where you live, or having a good old explore when away for the weekend or on a staycation. I believe the UK has some of the prettiest places to visit, especially the little towns and villages with quaintness in abundance. You don't usually have to travel far to be in a stunning rural setting filled with history.
I love all the old buildings, cobbled streets, stately homes, old brick walls and of course, the beautiful gardens and countryside that often comes with it. I love to take it all in, take some photos and have a wander, and it also inspires me for Vintage Amy. The colours, textures, flowers, peeling paint, old bricks, weathered wood... they all provide inspiration for my styling. Here are some of the beautiful places I have been lucky enough to recently visit...

This week I wanted to show you some more of my items, more specifically china and tableware, and show you some ideas of pairing them together with other items to create beautiful, vintage tablescapes...
Read MoreMy house is full to the brim of vintage bits & bobs, a lot being decor but mostly at the moment it is full of my hiring items! In the cupboards, on display, in my external storage unit, in the shed... you name it there is a place for my vintage treasures. When you do a job like mine you can't help but look out for treasure wherever you go. If I pop to the shops, I have a nose in a charity shop, if I'm going to a boot sale I keep my eyes peeled for vintage knick-knacks that will make perfect props. And if I'm away for a weekend or even visiting friends & families, I scout out the towns for pretty shops & cafes for vintage inspiration and possible purchases...
