Hello and welcome back! So lovely to have you here and today I want to chat to you about what I do. I get lots of people (not in the wedding industry) ask me what I do. A wedding stylist is a fairly new phenomenon for people. Planners have been around for a while now and most are aware of the role that they perform, but wedding stylists and event designers are a little more unknown, so let’s chat about what it is that I do…Read More
Hello! Last time I shared with you part 1 of some inspiration for a beautifully elegant and romantic Autumnal wedding, so here I am sharing part 2. We are so lucky to have such beautiful seasons here in the UK. I love each of them and the Autumn brings the biggest changes to nature, which I love to use to inspire me in my wedding styling. Using gentle nods towards the season in your styling and flowers for your wedding is the way to do, and this way you will still keep your wedding day elegant, romantic and timeless.Read More
Happy new year, lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I wanted to write about my 2017, to show you all that went on for Vintage Amy last year, as it was my first year in business and rather a good one, if I do say so myself! So below is a round-up of some of the highlights of my year, from styled shoots to real weddings and beyond...Read More
For years now I've always gone down the traditional route of red & gold Christmas decor and whilst I am a traditional girl at heart, I fancied something a little different this year. Not drastically different - you won't catch me going all modern - but I've cut the red out of the Christmas tree, and it is mainly full of gold baubles, apart from one new special one that gave me the inspiration for my table...Read More
In December’s Perfect Wedding magazine, I was lucky enough to have a double-page feature, showcasing a styled wedding shoot I worked on back in the summer. This shoot was designed to inspire readers to use vintage at their weddings in a fresh and modern way, and to provide some inspirational images for styling your wedding reception. Want to take a peek at more of the images? Here is the wedding table design I put together and next week will be the dessert dresser and table plan…Read More
I love vintage (obviously and phew, you say - it would be silly doing what I did if I didn't!) for many reasons - for its character, history, charm, stories behind the pieces, design details, and I just don't believe modern pieces are the same in quality and sophistication. But another reason I love vintage is that it means a lot of different things to different people...Read More
Hello again, lovelies. Thanks for popping by! In this week's post I'm giving you some styling tips that apply for weddings, interiors & home styling, and can generally be applied for all sorts of styling.

I am a huge fan of exploring new & pretty places in the UK, whether it's a beautiful National Trust or stately home near where you live, or having a good old explore when away for the weekend or on a staycation. I believe the UK has some of the prettiest places to visit, especially the little towns and villages with quaintness in abundance. You don't usually have to travel far to be in a stunning rural setting filled with history.
I love all the old buildings, cobbled streets, stately homes, old brick walls and of course, the beautiful gardens and countryside that often comes with it. I love to take it all in, take some photos and have a wander, and it also inspires me for Vintage Amy. The colours, textures, flowers, peeling paint, old bricks, weathered wood... they all provide inspiration for my styling. Here are some of the beautiful places I have been lucky enough to recently visit...Read More

I'm so excited to be sharing these pictures with you from a styled shoot I designed and styled back in April with a really lovely, and very talented, team. Set in the beautiful Longton Wood in Kent, I chose to use my darling vintage props and wedding decor in a unique setting, and show you how to use vintage and still get a very elegant, romantic and whimsical feel for your wedding day.
I absolutely loved creating this wedding inspiration shoot, and I hope you love it as much as me. This week I've included the pics showing you the beautiful invites and bridal scenes...Read More
My last post showed you lots of my lovely, elegant vintage props I have available for you to hire for your wedding or event in Kent, Sussex or further afield if needed.
This week I wanted to show you some more of my items, more specifically china and tableware, and show you some ideas of pairing them together with other items to create beautiful, vintage tablescapes...Read More
My house is full to the brim of vintage bits & bobs, a lot being decor but mostly at the moment it is full of my hiring items! In the cupboards, on display, in my external storage unit, in the shed... you name it there is a place for my vintage treasures. When you do a job like mine you can't help but look out for treasure wherever you go. If I pop to the shops, I have a nose in a charity shop, if I'm going to a boot sale I keep my eyes peeled for vintage knick-knacks that will make perfect props. And if I'm away for a weekend or even visiting friends & families, I scout out the towns for pretty shops & cafes for vintage inspiration and possible purchases...Read More
