I love vintage (obviously and phew, you say - it would be silly doing what I did if I didn't!) for many reasons - for its character, history, charm, stories behind the pieces, design details, and I just don't believe modern pieces are the same in quality and sophistication. I am a huge fan of exploring new & pretty places in the UK, whether it's a beautiful National Trust or stately home near where you live, or having a good old explore when away for the weekend or on a staycation. I believe the UK has some of the prettiest places to visit, especially the little towns and villages with quaintness in abundance. You don't usually have to travel far to be in a stunning rural setting filled with history.
I love all the old buildings, cobbled streets, stately homes, old brick walls and of course, the beautiful gardens and countryside that often comes with it. I love to take it all in, take some photos and have a wander, and it also inspires me for Vintage Amy. The colours, textures, flowers, peeling paint, old bricks, weathered wood... they all provide inspiration for my styling. Here are some of the beautiful places I have been lucky enough to recently visit...Read More
